Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how TechTech ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications (the "Apps") available on iOS and Android platforms, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Important: We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you create an account or use third-party authentication (such as Google Sign-In), we may collect your email address, name, and profile information.
  • User Content: Content you create, upload, or share through the Service, including calendar events, reminders, notes, and other data you input.
  • App Blocking Preferences: If you use the App Blocking feature on iOS, we store your selection of which apps to block and your per-event blocking preferences. This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
  • Payment Information: For in-app purchases and subscriptions, payment is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card information directly.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and device settings.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the Service, including features used, time spent, and actions taken.
  • Screen Time Data (iOS only): If you enable the App Blocking feature and grant Screen Time permission, the app uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to manage app restrictions on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any information about which apps you have installed or how you use them. All Screen Time data is processed entirely on your device by Apple's system frameworks.
  • Location Data: If you grant permission, we may collect location information to provide location-based features.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

  • Google Sign-In: When you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google account information (name, email, profile picture) as permitted by your Google account settings.
  • Google Calendar: If you grant permission, we access your Google Calendar data to sync and display your events within the app.
  • Device Calendar: If you grant permission, we access your device calendar to sync and display your events.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: Deliver, operate, and maintain our Service, including displaying your calendar events, processing transactions, and managing subscriptions.
  • To Provide App Blocking: If you enable App Blocking on iOS, we use Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks) to block selected apps during your calendar events and automatically unblock them when events end. Your app selection is represented as an opaque token provided by Apple — we cannot see which specific apps you selected.
  • To Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance user experience.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: Customize features and settings based on your preferences.
  • To Communicate with You: Send you service-related notifications and respond to your inquiries.
  • To Ensure Security: Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats.

We do NOT use your information for:

  • Advertising or marketing purposes
  • Selling to third parties
  • Building user profiles for advertising
  • Tracking which apps you use or how long you use them
  • Any purpose unrelated to providing and improving the Service

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Cloud storage and hosting services
  • Analytics services (solely for improving the app)
  • Customer support services

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

3.2 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google API Services

When you connect your Google account (for Sign-In or Google Calendar), we access your data solely to provide the app's functionality:

  • Google Sign-In: To authenticate and create your account
  • Google Calendar: To display, create, edit, and sync your calendar events

Your Google data is stored locally on your device. We do not upload your Google Calendar data to our servers.

LifeBlocks' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

4.2 Apple Services

When you use Apple services (such as Sign in with Apple), your use is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/privacy/

4.3 Payment Processing

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your payment information is handled by these platforms in accordance with their privacy policies. We do not have access to your payment card details.

4.4 Analytics

We use analytics services (such as Amplitude, Firebase Analytics) to understand how users interact with our Service. This helps us identify issues and improve the app. Analytics data is used solely for improving the Service and is not used for advertising or shared with advertisers.

4.5 Apple Screen Time APIs (iOS Only)

The App Blocking feature uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity). These are system-level APIs provided by Apple:

  • Family Controls: Allows you to select which apps to block. The selection is represented as an opaque token — we cannot determine which specific apps you selected.
  • Managed Settings: Applies and removes app restrictions on your device based on your calendar events.
  • Device Activity: Schedules when restrictions should be applied or removed, aligned with your event times.

All Screen Time data is processed entirely on your device by Apple's system frameworks. We do not have access to, collect, or transmit any information about your installed apps, app usage patterns, or Screen Time settings. If you have "Share Across Devices" enabled in your Screen Time settings, Apple may sync restrictions across your devices — this is managed by Apple's iCloud service, not by our app.

You can revoke Screen Time permission at any time through your device's Settings > Screen Time. Revoking permission will immediately disable all app blocking features.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • Calendar data from Google Calendar is stored locally on your device
  • App Blocking preferences and configurations are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any server
  • We use encryption for data transmission
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

App Blocking configurations stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the app or revoke Screen Time permission.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Disconnect Accounts: You can disconnect your Google account at any time from within the app settings.
  • Revoke Screen Time Permission: You can disable App Blocking at any time by revoking Screen Time access in your device's Settings.
  • Account Deletion: Delete your account and associated data through the app settings.

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided in Section 10.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as an in-app notification.
